Doha: New social and business value can be accelerated across the Middle East this year through a more secure digital ecosystem, experts at Huawei have said during the ongoing Milipol Qatar 2021 - an event dedicated to homeland security in the Middle East. As a leading global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, Huawei already plays an active role in the digital transformation of industries throughout the region, while also ensuring that cybersecurity and privacy protection remain a top priority.
During the event, Huawei officials reiterated that 5G has now been rolled out at scale, with connectivity, cloud, AI, computing, and industry applications now coming together to create unprecedented opportunities for the region and empowering governments to achieve their strategic goals. Building and fully implementing an end-to-end global cybersecurity assurance and privacy protection system is thus one of Huawei’s key initiatives. The company has in turn reiterated its commitment to collaborating with governments, customers, and partners in the Middle East to tackle cybersecurity and privacy challenges. Mika Lauhde, Vice-President of Cybersecurity & Privacy at Huawei, was one of the keynote speakers at the summit this year, providing government and private sector attendees with an overview of the modern cybersecurity and threat landscape.More Related News
