House passes bill requiring voters prove citizenship in federal elections

The House of Representatives voted 221-198 to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, to ensure only American citizens vote in federal elections.
Five Democrats voted in favor of the measure, including Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas; Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas; Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine; Rep. Don Davis, D-N.C.; and Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Wash. Greg Wehner is a breaking news reporter for Fox News Digital.
