House committee sets up vote to expand Section 702 of FISA for 2 years

The House Rules Committee voted 8-4 late Thursday to approve a rule that could lead to the reauthorization of Section 702 in FISA for two years, putting it for vote for a second time in a week.

The bill, which was backed by Speaker Mike Johnson, was blocked by more than a dozen House GOP members.
