HGTV star Ty Pennington explains why his near-death incident was one of his ‘best experiences’

HGTV star Ty Pennington jokes to Fox News Digital he wouldn't be surprised if people were "excited" about his near-death illness so they wouldn't have to hear his "annoying voice."

"You find out who loves you because people message you, and you're like, 'My God, it's like you died.' And people finally message you and say, ‘My God, I forgot how much I love you.’ So it was one of the best experiences because you realize how much you're worth to other people and how much you would be missed," Pennington said. "Honestly, I think we should all go through something like that so you really appreciate the people that love you, because sometimes we take that for granted."
