GOP Group Exposes 'Republican Hypocrisy At Its Ugliest’ On Trump's Tariffs

The Republican Accountability Project's montage shows the stunning 180 that's been performed by many of the party's highest-profile lawmakers.
An anti-Trump Republican group says its new viral video exposes GOP “hypocrisy at its ugliest.”
The Republican Accountability Project released a new supercut this week featuring a montage of Republican senators ―including now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), and Ron Johnson (Wis.), and others ― once vocally slamming tariffs as “a tax on Americans” and a jobs-killer that will ultimately “harm America consumers.”
It starkly contrasts with their now largely falling in line behind President Donald Trump’s newly announced tariff plans.
“These politicians spent their careers fighting tariffs,” the Republican group posted on social media. “Now Trump snaps his fingers, and they can’t sell out fast enough.”
