Drew Barrymore Says She'll 'Practice Physical Distance' On Her Talk Show

The daytime host faced criticism in December for getting touchy-feely with Oprah Winfrey on an episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show."
Drew Barrymore plans to leave a bit more space between herself and future guests of her talk show.
In an Entertainment Tonight interview released Thursday, Barrymore was asked what she has in store for upcoming seasons of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” prompting her to say that “I’ll try to practice physical distance, which is not my strong point.”
Barrymore then seemed to offer an explanation for her usual habit of getting touchy-feely with her guests.
She noted that her show, which launched in September 2020, initially featured guests in a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio by myself,” she told ET. “I like to be around people.”
