Proper waste disposal urged in Dindigul, street covering requested in Palani, restroom needed at GH, trees on median to be removed.
Employ proper disposal methods
Garbage is dumped on the roadside at the entrance of NGO Colony in Dindigul. It poses a health hazard to the residents, apart from the risk of fire hazard as an electricity post and a transformer are situated nearby. The smoke from burning waste severely impacts the health of residents. So, I request the authorities to prevent accumulation of the waste by clearing it regularly. They must stop burning the waste and employ proper waste disposal methods.
The residents must also be sensitised to maintaining cleanliness of the surroundings.
P. Ravichandran,

Cover the whole street in Palani
Thousands of devotees carrying ‘kavadis’ from the nearby districts of Madurai, Sivaganga, and Tiruppur, after travelling a long distance by foot (padayatra), come to Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani for Thai Poosam festival. They are allowed in batches by the police so as to manage the crowds on Sannathi Road that leads to the temple. One half of Sannathi Road has been covered while the rest is open due to which the devotees are kept waiting under a scorching sun. I request the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and the Palani municipal authorities to completely cover the street for the convenience of the devotees.

In a breathtaking display of musical prowess, the Singspirations, a Tiruchi-based choir group, in collaboration with the Glauben Ensemble and the Genesis Chamber Orchestra, presented a sublime performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K. 626, in its entirety, mesmerising audiences.
