According to a New York Times report, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told donors on a call that he is one of only three "credible" options running for president in 2024.
"And I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president — Biden and me, based on all the data in the swing states, which is not great for the former president and probably insurmountable because people aren’t going to change their view of him," he reportedly said. Later in the call, DeSantis reportedly told participants, "the corporate media wants Trump to be the nominee," citing the criticism leveled at him by journalists and current presidential candidates.
