Todd Fisher said Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor reconciled in later years after enduring a public scandal involving his father, pop singer Eddie Fisher.
"I sent a note to her and she sent a note to me in passing, and then we had dinner together," Reynolds once recalled to The Huffington Post. "She was married to Richard Burton by then. I had been remarried at that point. And we just said, ‘Let’s call it a day.’ And we got smashed. And we had a great evening, and stayed friends since then." Reynolds died in 2016 following a stroke at age 84 – just one day after losing her daughter Carrie Fisher. The star’s only son confirmed to the outlet that the women rekindled their friendship after a tumultuous past.
