Former Donald Trump-allied lawyers Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro on Thursday stunned users of X, formerly Twitter, with their single-sentence statements that they were obliged to pen after copping plea deals in the Georgia election interference case.
“I apologize for my actions in connection with the events in Coffee County,” wrote Powell.
“I apologize to the citizens of the State of Georgia and of Fulton County for my involvement in Count 15 of the indictment,” said Chesebro.
The duo had been charged alongside Trump and 16 others over alleged efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in the state.
Police say Jeffrey Moynihan, Jr., 56, convinced the 74-year-old woman to wire money to bank accounts he controlled.
The union-friendly Oregon Republican just lost her reelection bid for the House earlier this month.
The dual announcements Friday evening showed how Trump was fleshing out the financial side of his new administration.
The former “View” co-host said she felt she couldn’t support Trump or Harris — and wrote in a surprising choice instead.
Across the country, the trans community is grappling with questions about what survival looks like after Trump’s victory.

The president-elect had been set for sentencing next week.
