Concerted efforts of judiciary and police needed to control cybercrimes in the country, says Union Civil Aviation Minister
Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naidu said that concerted efforts of the judiciary and the police department needed to control cybercrimes in the country. He released a book on cyber laws compiled by the senior advocate and president of BC Advocates Welfare Association-Srikakulam district president Arugu Umamaheswara Rao in a programme organised in Srikakulam on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that all advocates should enhance their knowledge in cyber laws so that it would be easy for them to win cases. He congratulated Mr. Umamaheswara Rao for conducting awareness programmes, seminars and workshops on the crucial subject to protect innocent people as they were being robbed by fraudsters with the misuse of technology.
Mr. Umamaheswara Rao said that Information Technology Act-2000, India Law Code-2023, Prevention of Cyber Crimes Against Women and Children Act-2012, and others were enacted to ensure punishment for fraudsters involved in cybercrimes.
