'Choke Us, Daddy!': Stephen Colbert Spots Moment Republicans Got 'Weird' For Trump

The "Late Show" host was puzzled by the GOP reaction to one specific line from Trump's speech.
“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert called out Republican lawmakers over their curious response to one key claim President Donald Trump made during his Tuesday night address to a joint session of Congress.
Trump boasted of his executive orders on immigration, saying that while Democrats had for years insisted that immigration and border issues should be resolved through legislation, he was able to do it on his own.
“It turned out all we really needed was a new president,” Trump said, causing Republican lawmakers to stand and cheer.
“I get that he’s your guy,” Colbert said. “But isn’t it weird for members of Congress to applaud him for taking all their power away?”
Colbert did an impression of Republicans cheering for Trump bypassing lawmakers.
