Chicago police stations become unofficial migrant shelters amid crisis
Fox News
Chicago police sources tell Fox News that their stations have become unofficial migrant shelters, with families sleeping on the floors of two precincts. The city denies they are shelters.
While Chicago Police Department (CPD) sources said they sympathize with the migrants, the officials believe it shines a light on the nationwide immigration crisis. Chicago has been a "sanctuary city" for more than five years. Matt Finn currently serves as a national correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC) based in Los Angeles.
"This is a dangerous situation that arose from their ridiculous sanctuary city policy," a Chicago law enforcement source told Fox News. "They clearly do not have a plan to deal with it and they’re placing the cops once again in undue risk."
