The City of Calgary will open a second water collection site along the Bow River Friday, to provide non-potable water for construction work.

“This was something we need to do to keep the construction schedule on track. We know there are a lot of folks out there building homes and needing a place to live. Construction needs to keep pace,” Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek said Thursday.
The first water collection site opened Thursday at the West Baker Park boat launch.
A second at the Ogden boat launch will open on Friday.
The Ogden boat launch will be closed for regular use, while the West Baker Park boat launch will remain open.
