Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has called for gun owners across the country to register each of their firearms with the Federal Police, amid a larger gun control push.
Bolsonaro also repeatedly claimed that "an armed populace will never be enslaved," according to The Associated Press.
Now, Lula is working to unravel Bolsonaro’s pro-gun policies.
