Fox News
Part of the Texas town of Angleton was advised to evacuate on Thursday morning as authorities responded to a bomb threat near the Brazoria County Courthouse.
"After multiple thorough sweeps of the area, authorities have found no materials or devices that pose a danger to the community," the sheriff's office said. "The evacuation advisory has been lifted, and there is no ongoing threat."
The sheriff's office initially said that the courthouse was evacuated as a precaution, and several roads were shut down after a threat was made. Later, the sheriff's office advised a 2-mile swath of the downtown area to evacuate.
