Artistic tributes to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
As people from all walks of life mourned the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by paying tributes to his portraits, put up at various street corners in Karimnagar and through social media, noted sand artist from Karimnagar, Revelli Shankar, created an art work as a mark of respect to the visionary economist.
He carved out the sand sculpture of the late Manmohan Singh, popularly known as the architect of India’s economic reforms and pathfinder in steering the country’s economic transformation.
The distinguished economist led the country surmount multiple challenges and tread the path of progress during his stint as the PM from 2004 to 2014, the sand artist said.
