Arizona woman trying to rescue dog held onto tree in canal for 18 hours

An Arizona woman was stranded in a canal for 18 hours with her dog until police arrived after she had attempted to rescue the animal who had fallen in.
"The will to survive is what makes this a great story," Wellton Police Sgt. Juan Salcido said, according to FOX 10. Salcido was the first on the scene to assist the woman, pulling her and her dog out of the canal.
