Anthony Davis out indefinitely with injury suffered in Mavericks debut
NY Post
If the Mavericks were hoping that Anthony Davis’ stellar play would help calm down the anger in Dallas over trading Luka Doncic, they’ll have to come up with another way to do that.
Davis, acquired as part of the highly unpopular Doncic trade, will be out for multiple weeks due to a left adductor strain, ESPN reported Sunday night.
The NBA big man had already been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Kings and now looks like he could be away from the court for a month.
Davis left Saturday’s game against the Rockets — his Mavericks debut — with 1:37 let in the third quarter.
He had put up 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in an outstanding performance for his new team.
Davis previously seemed to be a bit more optimistic about his status going forward on Saturday when he spoke with reporters and explained he was “very confident” that it wouldn’t set him back.
