Attorney Gloria Allred accused the actor of using his family's new TLC show to paint himself as "the real victim."
Alec Baldwin is being asked to “face the real-life consequences” from cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ death by testifying for the lawyers representing her family’s wrongful death suit against him.
In a Tuesday statement to the press, famed victims’ rights attorney Gloria Allred demanded Baldwin take accountability for the accidental shooting which took Hutchins’ life during the making of the film “Rust” in 2021 while accusing the actor of using his family’s new TLC reality show to portray himself as “the real victim.”
After filing a notice of deposition with Santa Fe, New Mexico, courts on Monday, Allred explained why she was asking Baldwin to sit for questions under oath, “in person” and “recorded on video” on May 9 at the attorney’s New York office.
Allred said that by “taking advantage of his increased fame and notoriety by monetizing it in a TLC reality show,” Baldwin had “compounded the pain” Hutchins’ family had endured after her death and caused by the fact the manslaughter charges against the actor were dropped last July.
The attorney also questioned if the reality show was a ploy to sway potential jurors in the civil proceedings.
