Aaron Judge blasts 50th home run of the season to join exclusive club
NY Post
After an unthinkable game Saturday — when he went 0-for-2 with a walk, hit by pitch and without even one home run, snapping a four-game homer streak — Aaron Judge was due.
In what has become a daily expectation, the Yankees superstar blasted yet another dinger during Sunday’s first inning for his 50th of the season.
Through 131 Yankees games, the all-time slugger is on pace for 61.884 homers, which when rounded would tie the club and league record that he set two seasons ago.
With an 0-2 changeup from Rockies lefty Austin Gomber, Judge clobbered a 431-foot shot to left-center that gave the Yankees an early 2-1 edge in The Bronx.
He also gave himself a seat alongside select company.
