Disciplinary action has been recommended for six U.S. Capitol Police officers following an internal investigation into the deadly Jan. 6 attack at the Capitol, the U.S. Capitol Police said. An investigation by the department’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) found three cases of unbecoming conduct, one case of failure to comply with directives, one case of improper remarks, and one case of improper dissemination of information related to the attack, the Capitol Police announced Saturday. “The six sustained cases should not diminish the heroic efforts of the United States Capitol Police officers,” the department said in a release. “On January 6, the bravery and courage exhibited by the vast majority of our employees was inspiring.”More Related News
