Three people escaped serious injury when the car they were in veered off the road and ended up in Lake Banook in Dartmouth, N.S., on Saturday morning.
Images of the incident appear to show that the car was on Prince Albert Road when it swerved through a fence and into the lake in the vicinity of the Senobe Aquatic Club.
District fire Chief Rob Hebb said at the scene that the three occupants of the car were able to extricate themselves from the car before it went under.
Hebb said he did not believe anyone had been taken to hospital.
The vehicle was removed from the water before noon, he said.
Police say the driver, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving.
