The Russian invasion of Ukraine is an international crisis. But it is also the world’s fastest-growing humanitarian crisis. People have been killed, maimed, uprooted, displaced and abducted in the war that is raging in the country since February 24 when Russia launched a pre-dawn attack on its neighbour.
Since the beginning of the war, dozens have been kidnapped by the Russian military and many are government officials. It is being alleged that the Russians are blackmailing Ukraine into surrendering in exchange for family members.
