Former India cricketer Yusuf Pathan penned a heartwarming note on Shane Warne’s birthday. The legendary Australian passed away on 4 March, 2022 after suffering a heart attack in Thailand. The leg spinner would have turned 53 on 13 September, Tuesday.
Pathan, who had played under the captaincy of Warne in the Indian Premier League 2022 had a successful outing scoring 435 runs and picking 8 wickets. Under Shane Warne, Rajasthan Royals lifted the first-ever IPL trophy. Warne, after his retirement from all formats, remained to be one of the most influential figures in the Rajasthan Royals' culture. In the IPL 2022 campaign, Rajasthan players like Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson talked in length about Warne's impact in the dressing room and overall in world cricket. Buttler once said that Warne used to make people feel 10ft tall around him.
