There are times when you stumble upon the most heartwarming stories on the internet. You keep thinking about it all day and can’t stop smiling. And, we have the perfect tale to demonstrate that. So, Mayank Austen Soofi, who has a page called The Delhi Walla on Instagram, posted a super sweet story of a young couple in love. It is just too good to miss out on and you should definitely check it out.
The pictures of the couple named Afzal and Sabeena are from a tea stall in Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan. In the photographs, the boy is wearing black jeans with a brown shirt while the girl is dressed in a salwar kameez. “Both of them are fond of chai. And when they are having chai together, they drink it from the same glass. “We feel good this way,” he says. “Because we like each other,” says Sabeena, according to the post.
21-year-old Afzal and 19-year-old Sabeena even have their meals from the same plate. The couple informed that they had gotten married a year ago. Their parents were not in favour of the union because Afzal is a daily-wage labourer. However, that wasn’t the real reason. They objected because they were not happy about the fact that Afzal and Sabeena met as children. But, their affair began in the winter of 2019. “Afzal, 21, and Sabeena, 19, are in love. They also have their meals from the same plate. This evening, the couple is sitting on a bench, beside a chai stall, in Sarai Kale Khan.
Afzal is wearing black jeans and a very tight brown shirt. Sabeena is in a blue kurta paired with a flowery dupatta. They married a year ago. “It was a love marriage,” she points out. “Our parents were not in favour of the marriage,” he points out. Afzal is a “beldar” (labourer) and Sabeena says that so is her father, adding, “I think our parents minded because we had known each other as little children. But the affair didn’t begin until the winter of 2019, during a trip to a bazaar,” reads the viral post.
Afzal and Sabeena started a new life together in a rented room after their marriage. He also helps his wife cook dinner after work to make it easier for her. They also have their share of fights. “When she doesn’t listen to my sensible advice,” he says. She gives the same reason,” the post reads.
Married life has changed both of them in some ways. “I have become more responsible, more hardworking,” Afzal says, explaining that he earns only 300 rupees daily and one can’t run a home on that. “I will have to work even harder,” he adds. “Now I don’t have to suffer from mummy’s daat (scoldings.),” Sabeena jokes.
The couple got married in a public park. The guests were served cold drinks and white rasgullas, as per the caption of the post.
