"You Can Bury Your Head In Sand Like Ostrich, But...": Court Raps Centre

The Centre's failure to implement the Delhi High Court order brought it close to a contempt case today. The court asked the government to explain why a contempt case should not be initiated against it. "You can bury your head in sand like an ostrich, we won't," the High Court said, pointing out that the Supreme Court, in its April 30 order, had directed the Centre to provide 700 metric tonne of oxygen to Delhi and not just 490 metric tonne.
