Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai married Asser, who is a manager for the Pakistan Cricket Board, in a low-key nikkah ceremony at her home in Birmingham in the presence of their families on November 9. Congratulatory wishes poured in for the couple from the likes of prominent personalities around the world and among them was global icon Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize winner on a project focusing on the importance of education among children. Priyanka shared a picture of Malala and Asser from their wedding festivities and wished her with these heartwarming words: "Congratulations! Wish you so much joy and happiness. Malala Yousafzai announced her wedding to Asser on social media on Tuesday. She shared two pictures with her husband from their nikkah and wrote: "Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead." Malala looks gorgeous in a tea-pink kurta set that she paired with minimal jewellery. Asser complemented her in a black suit.
