The funeral of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa's granddaughter is likely to be held today at a farmhouse owned by her husband Dr Neeraj, in the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Yediyurappa's granddaughter Soundarya died by suicide on Friday. A case of unnatural death has been filed in high grounds police station.
Dr Neeraj had left for work at 8 am but rushed back home after domestic help informed him that Soundarya had locked herself in a room. Her body was found hanging in her Bengaluru apartment in the morning.
Their six-month-old child was found in another room. Soundarya's parents were in Hubli when the incident was reported.
Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that Soundarya was battling postpartum depression and the family knew about it.
