Yash says he was very scared for Sanjay Dutt during KGF Chapter 2 shoot due to his health

Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer while shooting KGF: Chapter 2. Yash lauded Sanjay and called him a 'fighter'.
The KGF: Chapter 2 trailer launch event took place in Bengaluru today, March 27. Several who’s who from the tinsel town attended the event including Yash, KGF director Prashant Neel, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Farhan Akhtar, among others. Karan Johar turned emcee for the evening. Yash, while talking about the film, lauded Sanjay Dutt’s bravery. For the unaware, Sanjay was diagnosed with lung cancer during KGF: Chapter 2 shoot. However, he came back with a bang! Yash also complimented Raveena Tandon.
It was in 2020 when Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer. While he immediately resorted to treatment, the actor reportedly had to take a brief break from KGF: Chapter 2 shoot. But he recuperated and was spotted on KGF sets again. At the trailer launch event of the film, Yash lauded Sanjay for his perseverance and bravery. He said, “Sanju sir, you are a true fighter! I have witnessed this upfront. We all know he has seen life and experienced all sorts of things, yet he is so down-to-earth and humble. He calls me ‘Yash Bhai’ sometimes and that is his maturity and personality.”
Yash further added, “The way he committed himself to this film with everything that he went through with his health. We are all aware, even with the way he dedicated himself towards the action sequences especially. I was very scared for him. I told everybody to be careful, but then he came to me and said “Yash, please don't insult me. I will do and I want to do it. I want to give my best.” This is how the fans would love to see him on screen and we all are your fan, Sanju sir.”
Raveena Tandon, who plays a pivotal role in KGF: Chapter 2, was showered with compliments by Yash. He said, “Raveena Ma’am, you are fabulous. When people see, they will see a different avatar of yours. You are looking stunning and you have done a great job.”
KGF: Chapter 2 releases on April 21.
