Xiaomi confirms Redmi Note 8 2021 launch, expected to arrive with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC

Xiaomi took to Twitter to reveal that the company has sold over a 25million units of Redmi Note 8 globally.
Xiaomi has rumoured to be working on a new version of the Redmi Note 8. However, the company has put an end to rumours by confirming the Redmi Note 8 2021 via a tweet. Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 8 two years ago, it is unclear why Xiaomi has decided two bring back the two-year-old phone despite having so many options around. It is also being reported that the smartphone will only be launched in selected countries including the European Economic Area (EEA), and Russian markets. The Redmi Note 8 2021 may not arrive in the Indian markets. Xiaomi took to Twitter to reveal that the company has sold over a 25million units of Redmi Note 8 globally. In the same tweet, the company mentioned that it is soon going to unveil the “the performance all-star”- the Redmi Note 8 2021. Xiaomi did not mention the launch date or reveal any details about the upcoming smartphone, but several reports have leaked the specs of the Redmi Note 8 2021. As per reports, the Redmi Note 8 has been spotted on certification websites like Bluetooth SIG and US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) which has revealed some specifications of the upcoming device. The phone has been codenamed ‘Biloba’ on various certification websites. The reports claim that the smartphone will a full-HD+ display with a 60Hz display refresh rate. There could also be a different variant that could come with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Note 8 2021 is expected to come with two different storage variants.More Related News
