Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the much-awaited Noida International Airport in Jewar on Thursday. With the landmark event, Uttar Pradesh will become the first in the country to have five international airports.
The stage is set for the stone-laying ceremony of the much-awaited Noida International Airport in Jewar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Rs 5,730-crore airport, dubbed to be the biggest in Asia and the first net-zero emission airport in India.
The construction work for the Jewar airport has begun, and its operations will begin by 2024. Once it becomes operational, Uttar Pradesh will have five international airports, the highest for any state in India.
