WTC Final: New Zealand have advantage over India because of series against England, says Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar said that New Zealand have an advantage of India because of the two-Test series that they have played agianst New Zealand prior to the WTC final.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that New Zealand have an advantage over India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final because they have played a two-Test series in England before the historic one-off Test at the Ageas Bowl. While New Zealand played the two-Test series in June, India arrived in England in July and recently played an intra-squad match. "Certainly," Gavaskar told Aaj Tak on eSalaamCricket when asked if playing the two-Test series has given New Zealand an advantage over India ahead of the WTC final, which starts on Friday. "It is all about being match fit, if you are match fit then it is of great help," he said.
