WTC Final: IPL 2021 finishing early has probably played into India's hands, says Ross Taylor

Ross Taylor believes that suspension of the IPL 2021 will be a blessing in disguise for the Indian team as they now have more time to prepare for next month's ICC World Test Championship against New Zealand.
Former New Zealand captain Ross Taylor feels that the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is probably a blessing in disguise for Virat Kohli's team in regards to their preparations for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship in England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to postpone the IPL 2021 on May 4 after Covid-19 breached the tournament's bio-bubble, infecting 6 players and 2 support staff members apart from a bus cleaner. The 60-match tournament was supposed to go on till May 30 but had to be halted even before reaching the half-way mark, which Taylor thinks has probably worked in India's favour as it gives their players more time to get ready for the WTC final against Kane Williamson's New Zealand starting June 18.More Related News
