
WTC Final: First session of historic Test washed out as rain plays spoilsport in Southampton

No play was possible in the first session of the opening day of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand due to persistent rain in Southampton.
The first session of the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand has been washed out, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted on Friday. Rain has been pelting down in Southampton and the BCCI had earlier said that the match officials were assessing the conditions.
