World Rhino Day: Assam govt to burn 2,500 seized rhino horns to spread awareness

The Assam government will burn 2,500 seized rhino horns on World Rhino Day to raise awareness.

The Assam government is all set to burn nearly 2,500 confiscated rhino horns on September 22 on the occasion of World Rhino Day.

Preparations are underway at Bokakhat, Assam's Golaghat district, near Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR), to destroy 2,479 pieces of rhino horn housed in state treasuries.
