Won't let her marry in temple, against Hinduism: BJP leader on Gujarat girl set to marry herself

BJP's city unit deputy chief Sunita Shukla has said that "sologamy is against Hindu ritual... This will reduce the population of Hindus". This came after a Gujarat girl announced that she is going to marry herself on June 11.
BJP city unit’s deputy chief Sunita Shukla has reacted strongly to Vadodara's 24-year-old Kshama Bindu's decision to marry herself on June 11. “If she is getting married at a temple, we can't let her do that,” Sunita Shukla said, adding, “Such marriages are against Hinduism.”
Sunita Shukla said that “Bindu is mentally ill”. She said that nowhere in Hindu culture is it written that a boy can marry a boy or a girl can marry a girl. “I'm against the choice of venue, she'll not be allowed to marry herself in any temple. Such marriages are against Hinduism. This will reduce the population of Hindus. If anything goes against religion, then no law will prevail.” Sunita Shukla said.
Kshama has done her graduation in Sociology and is currently working as senior recruitment officer for a private company. Both her parents are engineers. Her father is in South Africa and her mother stays in Ahmedabad.
While most girls dream of a groom who will come riding on a horse and take them with them, Kshama found her groom within herself. She is so fond of herself that she doesn’t wish to marry anyone else. And so she decided to do the saat pheras by herself.
