Woman stabbed with sickle and knife inside bank in TN, husband on the run

A woman in Tamil Nadu's Theni district was allegedly attacked by her husband with a sickle and a knife.
A woman was attacked with a sickle, knife and left bleeding inside a bank allegedly by her husband and his friend, over a property dispute in Tamil Nadu's Theni.
The woman, identified as Premalatha, sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital. She was allegedly attacked by her husband Vellaichami and his friend on Tuesday.
Premalatha had visited the bank to deposit money when Vellaichamy and his friend attacked her from behind with a sickle and a knife. The staff and bystanders surrounded the culprits but they managed to flee from the crime scene. The woman was left bleeding on the floor.

The initial investigation by Thevaram Police revealed that Premalatha and Vellaichami had been living separately as Vellaichami suspected his wife of having an illicit affair and was constantly harassing her, demanding property in her name.
Police are on the lookout for the two suspects and have recovered video evidence of the attack recorded on the mobile phone of another customer present during the attack.
Further investigation is underway.
