Homicide investigators are gathering evidence in the residential area near Lambert Way and Turner Avenue, where RCMP say first responders located a female suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite life saving measures, Mounties say “the female later succumbed to her injuries on scene” where she was found shortly before 11 p.m.
Both the Integrated Investigation Team and Coquitlam Victim Services are working with Coquitlam RCMP on the case
“The investigation is in the evidence gathering phase but this is believed to be an isolated incident,” the release reads.
Anyone who may have dashcam, surveillance or cellphone videos from the area around the time of the shooting.
