Woman dies 2 weeks after being attacked with acid by man in Delhi, husband demands death sentence

Nearly two weeks after being attacked with acid in Delhi's Bawana area, a 26-year-old mother of three died on Monday, the police said. Her husband has demanded that the accused be given the death sentence.

A 26-year-old married woman succumbed to her injuries on Monday nearly two weeks after being attacked with acid by a man in outer Delhi's Bawana area, police said.

The incident took place on November 3 when she rejected his marriage proposal. The accused, Montu (23), was arrested from Buxar district in Bihar, they said.
