Woman dead, man taken into custody in northwest Calgary, police say

Calgary police say the homicide unit is investigating a suspicious death in the northwest community of St. Andrews Heights.
In a release, police said they were called at approximately 3:30 a.m. Friday to the 1400 block of 29th Street N.W. after receiving reports of a deceased woman.
On arrival, officers located the woman, and took a man into custody, the release reads.
"Our homicide unit is currently investigating the circumstances of the death," police said in the release.
An autopsy is scheduled for next week, and police said no additional details are available at this time as the investigation is in the early stages.
