Woman dead, 3 injured after Brampton shooting, paramedics say

A woman has died after a shooting in Brampton, Peel paramedics say.
Peel police said they responded to a call near Rutherford Road S. and Selby Road around 6 a.m. on Saturday.
One victim was pronounced dead on scene, they said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Peel paramedics said the victim was a woman who was shot multiple times.
Another woman was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, paramedics said.
A man and a woman were also taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries, they said.
The homicide bureau is investigating the shooting, Peel police said.
Rutherford Road is closed between Glidden and Selby roads, police said.
