With one week to go before election day, here's what to watch in the final stretch

With just one week left before election day, nothing is certain.
CBC's Poll Tracker shows the Liberals and Conservatives in a neck-and-neck battle to form a government, with the New Democrats in third. That pressure has created a few storylines and races to watch in the home stretch. For the first time in more than two weeks, the Liberals have moved ahead of the Conservatives in national support — but by just a hair. The close race has put some cabinet ministers at risk, with the Conservatives and the Bloc Québécois closing in. The bellwether riding of Peterborough–Kawartha in Ontario will be one to watch, where cabinet minister Maryam Monsef is hoping for a third win. Since 1965, the candidate elected in Peterborough–Kawartha has almost always been a member of the party that went on to form the government. Conservative Michelle Ferreri, who runs a social media marketing company and was a former TV anchor, is hoping to be Monsef's foil in a riding with both a large urban core and rural areas.More Related News
