Mumbai on Monday administered 94,941 vaccine doses, the highest for the city in a single day. However, about 75% of these vaccine doses were administered at private centres. The trend shows a decreasing number of doses being administered at public centres while private facilities are playing a major role in Mumbai’s vaccination drive. In the private sector, nearly 4.5 lakh vaccine doses have been administered, compared to 1.8 lakh at public centres in the last 10 days. On Monday, only 23,418 doses out of the total 94,941 were administered at public centres.
