Former federal prosecutor William Shipley, who represented scores of January 6 defendants, writes that President Trump's sweeping pardons were justified because the government violated their due process rights.
William Shipley was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Department of Justice from 1992 to 2013, and has been in private practice since leaving DOJ. He also writes a column on Substack under the name "Shipwreckedcrew" and is active on X using that same name.
Some jurors raise their hands while others seem unsure what to do. One then says to Logan, "Shouldn’t we have a trial first?" To which Logan responds, "Oh yeah, of course. Let’s have a trial first and then we’ll convict her."
