Viktor Hovland beat Richard Bland in a playoff at the Dubai Desert Classic to move to No. 3 in the Official World Golf Rankings. Rory McIlroy missed a good opportunity to finish off his first Dubai win since 2015. Zalatoris' putting stroke got dissected like it was 8th-grade biology.
