Will wait for Centre’s guidelines on door-to-door vaccination, BMC answers Bombay HC query

BMC has told the Bombay High Court that the Centre has not issued guidelines for doorstep vaccination so far and can be implemented in Mumbai when directed by the government.
In response to the query raised by the Bombay High Court on conducting door-to-door vaccination for elderly and disabled citizens in Mumbai, the BMC has said it has been following guidelines issued by the Centre and when such a provision is made by the government, it will be done. An affidavit filed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) executive health officer, Mangala Gomre, has said that the civic authorities have till date followed all the guidelines set by the central government. The two-page affidavit by BMC further added that as and when the guidelines for ‘door-to-door vaccination’ are issued by the central government, it will be implemented in Mumbai as well.More Related News
