The two subsequently shared a series of lovey-dovey photos on social media and emerged as one of Tollywood's most sought-after couples. Things, however, took an unexpected turn in 2022 when Chay and Sam announced their decision to part ways. During a recent Rapid Fire interview with a website, Yuva Samrat commented on his personal life and revealed that his tattoo is a Morse code of his wedding date.

He went on to urge fans to refrain from tattooing such details on their hands as 'things can change'.

The Love Story actor recently met Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, sparking rumours of a collaboration between the two. Chay, however, termed it a 'casual' meeting.
There have been rumours of him teaming up with Rashmika Mandanna for a Telugu flick to be directed by Parasuram Petla, who previously directed the National Crush in Geetha Govindam.
