In a recent media interaction, Kriti Sanon opened up about her plans to direct a Bollywood film. The actress also recalled how Mimi was the turning point of her career.
Kriti Sanon is on a working spree. After shooting for back-to-back projects, the actress is now busy promoting her upcoming film, Bachchhan Paandey, alongside Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Arshad Warsi. It is all set to release on March 18. Ahead of its release, Kriti sat down for a media interaction in Delhi where she talked about her plans to direct a film and how Mimi was a turning point in her career.
Kirti Sanon plays the role of an aspiring director in Bachchhan Paandey. However, she has no plans to direct a film in real life as of now. The actress said, “I love acting too much to get into the direction field. However, I always get fascinated by a director’s mind. I would probably want to produce [films] at some time, but direction is not on my mind right now.”
Kriti Sanon won several hearts with her performance in Mimi. She feels that the film was a turning point in her career. “I knew that when I said yes to the film. This film gave me an opportunity to do a lot as an actor. When a film gives you so much, you also give it back with your whole heart. I gained weight for my role, so of course, I couldn’t do any other work while shooting Mimi. In those two months, I couldn’t do anything else in terms of work. Mimi gave me a lot in terms of range. For the first time, I had a whole film on my shoulders. It had a flavour of comedy but there was a lot of intensity as well. As an actor, it was very satisfying to play a role like that. It was a film that opened up something inside me.”
