Will kill all your 'Afzals': Gujarat BJP leader's attack on AAP

Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party, Gujarat BJP General Secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela said, “Tum chahe jitne Afzal paida karlo, hum chun chun ke maarenge.”
A war of words has erupted between the BJP’s Gujarat unit and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), after a large number of its leaders and workers reportedly defected to the saffron party ahead of the forthcoming Assembly polls in the state.
Addressing a meeting on the occasion of over 3,500 former AAP cadres joining the BJP, the party’s Gujarat General Secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela issued a dire warning to those who support the ‘Tukde Tukde gang’.
"Tum chahe jitne Afzal paida karlo, hum chun chun ke maarenge (No matter how many Afzals [Guru] you give birth to, we will kill them one by one),” Pradipsinh Vaghela said.
Mohammad Afzal Guru was a Kashmiri separatist leader and terrorist who was convicted and later hanged for the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. In February 2016, an event was organised in the JNU campus to protest the hanging of Afzal Guru. Anti-national slogans were allegedly raised at the event, which sparked a massive row.
Accusing the AAP of backing anti-national elements, Vaghela said, "People of our country pay taxes and on those taxes, there is one university (JNU) where slogans like ‘Bharat tere tukde honge, Inshallah’ are raised. They want to divide our country. And people from AAP give support to such people.

“Therefore, today all of you have left AAP and joined BJP. We are people of Gujarat and Gujaratis have built-in nationalism, and therefore you left AAP," he said, welcoming the new inductees into the BJP.
